Carlos Baena’s work has been a huge inspiration to me over the years and so I was super excited when he agreed to come on and chat with me!
Native to the Canary Islands, Carlos found his way to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art University. After graduating he started working on commercials (such as the M&M adverts) at Will Vinton studio (now known as LAIKA), he later went to work at ILM on Jurassic Park 3, Men in Black 2 and Star Wars 2 onwards to Pixar Studios working on Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and Toy Story 3. He recently left Paramount Paramount to work on his personal projects ‘Market Street’ and ‘La Noria’
